About this listen

It's been a year since septimus heap discovered his real family and true calling to be a wizard. As apprentice to Extra Ordinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand, he is learning the fine arts of Conjurations, Charms, and other Magyk, while Jenna is adapting to life as the princess and enjoying the freedom of the castle.

But there is something sinister at work. Marcia is constantly trailed by a menacing Darke Shadow, and Septimus's brother Simon seems bent on a revenge no one understands. Why is the Darke Magyk still lingering?

Bringing fantasy to new heights, Angie Sage continues the journey of Septimus Heap with her trademark humor and clever details.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this audio book as well as the rest of the Septimus Heap series to anyone. This book is full of Witches, Wizzards, Dragons, Magic both good and bad, and everything you can imagine. The story is compelling and will keep you listening the whole way through, and want more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Flyte: Septimus Heap, Book Two?

Jenna getting kidnapped by her brother Simon and no one believing Simon would do something like that. Nicko and Septimus getting lost in the forest and finding Grandpa Bengie who is now a tree. The hatching of Spitfire; and lots more.

Which character – as performed by Gerard Doyle – was your favourite?

Septimus is my favorite character. Although I have to say Gerard Doyle isn't the best performer I've heard for audio books, he's not bad but some of this characters sound a lot alike.
