The story is good like most of GMF's work. The audio book is let down by the volume of the narration, which varies between to quite to hear to deafeningly loud.

ive read all the flashman books over time but having them read in such a great way just makes them even more brilliant

As usual the narration was excellent made me laugh out loud a lot .

The way in which GMF weaves Flashy into the great historical events of the 1800s never ceases to amaze me. Changing sides to save his skin, lying, cheating and tumbling every 'lady' he runs into, this is Flashman at his best!

Flashman is a globetrotting Victorian woman who uses a vocabulary that often goes beyond the everyday, and the narrator so frequently mispronounces unusual words that it becomes an annoyance and a distraction from Fraser’s rattling good yarns.

It is not difficult to find out how to pronounce words, which is the business that Audible and the narrator are in, and they have fallen short in basic due diligence.
