Broken, separated, and alone, Ron, Nora, and Grant must survive if they hope to stop the Lord of the First Born and his army. Ron must now adapt and learn to navigate the hostile new world he has been thrust into, without knowing whom he can trust or what challenges lie ahead. Each choice he’s forced to make will either help him or bring him closer to breaking his promise. Meanwhile, back in the Alumma Biyar kingdoms, Nora and Grant must decide which path to follow, and no matter what path they walk down, the lives they once knew will be changed forever. However, the kingdoms must be warned as a new threat emerges and plans its assault upon the lands. War with the First Born has begun, and one by one, the towns, the villages, and all free people will fall to Hadal and his First Born army if left unchallenged.

The story follows on immediately from Book 1 and follows Ron, Nora and Grant as they continue their adventure.
The story is great and easy to follow. With Nigel’s narration, believable characters, sound effects and music this is a definitely example of Theatre of the Mind. The scenes are so vivid and the battles make one believe they are actually there.
Really looking forward to Book 3.
