About this listen

Olivia

My sister’s death is the worst thing I’ve ever been through. More destructive than the zombie virus, more damaging than losing my family and friends and everything else I’d ever known. I’ve tried coping, but no matter what I do, nothing seems to fill the hole in my heart.

Greg

After nine months on my own, safety is finally within my reach. I was starting to think I’d never get to experience human interaction again. Never get to hear laughter or feel the warmth of someone else’s skin on mine, and forget sex. All of that seemed like a dream. But not anymore.

Olivia and Greg are at a crossroads when they meet. Heartbroken and grieving, she’s about to give up, while he’s ready to start a life he’d thought might never happen. After a not-so-chance meeting, they work together to make it to the compound, and along the way learn something about the world.

They are not alone.

Olivia isn’t the only one who’s grieving after a devastating loss, and Greg isn’t the only person who feels alone in this world.

Together, they just might be able to find a future worth living....

Finding a Future (A Zombie Apocalypse Story #8) was a great read by Kate L. Mary. The death of Olivia's sister is the worst thing she's been through. Greg has been alone for nine months and safety is finally within his reach. They are both heartbroken and grieving when they meet. I absolutely loved reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

I have received this book via a free promo code and this is my voluntary review.

This is book 8 of the love in the Zombie Apocalypse accompanying novellas for the Broken World Series.

Olivia feels like a ghost, like her entire life is a haunted house, surviving the loss of her identical twin sister makes her feel like the world is an alternate reality. She's lost in her grief, risking everything to get a photograph of her sister Sylvia. Both sisters survived the virus which killed off 75% of the worlds population, just for one of them to get bitten while on a supply run.

Greg has spent the last 9 months travelling to get to a safe location, communicating briefly with survivors from Olivia's group he accepts a request to go and check on her at the apartment where she had disappeared to, Isolation has left him eager for the human contact, he finds her alone, crying.

The attraction is instant for Greg but for Liv, she's furious that Hector sent someone to check on her. She refuses to be saved, but soon that anger at his presence fades as he becomes her solace.

This book is told in dual POV... which to be honest, I wasn't loving. Out of all the narrators for these stories Megan Engeseth is not my favorite, I feel like it could have benefited from a male narrator.
