I was totally engrossed in this book from start to finish. Not just a look at 25 years of searching but also a truly fascinating look at the development of genetic genealogy and it’s potential to shake out those family secrets that up till now have been firmly locked away behind generations of locked doors . A great story beautifully narrated, what more could you want.?

As someone interested in family history and dna, I loved this book. I often struggle to concentrate when listening to audio books but this was an exception.

This could have been so boring but the twists and turns of the author's journey to find his birth father keep the audience listening. Apart from a short section where I lost track a little, it was well written. As much a guide to the history of Dna services as it is a family story. Definitely a good read!
