About this listen
How Far Would He Go To Keep Them Safe?
It was more than a break-in. More than a stalking. It was personal. When a stalker targets his family, journalist Jack Crittendon must uncover who the person is and what his motives are - if he is to protect the ones he loves. It will lead Crittendon into a world of behind-closed-door secrets and faith gone awry, as does his investigation of a missing pastor, whose apparent suicide is more than it appears. Each move Crittendon makes weaves him tighter and tighter into a web of lies, greed, hypocrisy, sin, and danger.
He believed he’d never give in to fear. But that was before. And holding on to his faith won’t be easy. Nor will keeping his family safe, and ending the terror. Because that might require him to step over lines he never dared to cross.

I found Jack and Pam to be incredibly irritating, and couldn't help but notice that the non-white characters were not as 'perfect' as they, or their other associates were; they had to have some 'flaw' which made them not as perfect as the other characters, thereby maintaining the 'us and 'them'.
I found the constant dipping into religion was annoying too as I found it to be unbelievable that they would live their lives in that way.
I found the narrator's voice annoying, though I think this was unfairly because it was mainly due to 'what' he was saying rather than 'how' he said it.
The ending was ok, and I've asked my sister to listen to tbe whole book to see if she comes to the same conclusion as me; she has already mentioned she does not like the narrator's voice...!
Not a book that I shall be revisiting in the future, but also not the worse book in the world. It was just ... annoying!
