This audiobook picked up immediately from where part 1 finished from a cliffhanger ending, with Lily again in peril. Darker forces are now starting to be suspected of the original murder attempt. Duff - one of Lily's bodyguards - begins to unravel the truth around her situation, and this book is told from his pov. As the story moves forward, we begin to see shadowy stateless operatives playing a major part in Lily's past, present and future. All quite nail-biting and gripping.
There was plenty of tension throughout this audiobook, as gradually more and more layers were unwrapped. The story built up continually, with another surprising cliffhanger to conclude. I very much enjoyed Sebastian York's narration.
