 Wo Störche leben, ist auch Wasser zu finden - im Havelland und somit auch bei Fahrland reichlich. Dem "Soldatenkönig" Friedrich Wilhelm II. war das seinerzeit zu viel. Er ließ große Teile sumpfigen Niederungslandes entwässern - brandenburgische Geschichte. Dieser war auch Fontane auf den Spuren und wurde mit der "Fahrlander Chronik" fündig.
