I can’t say enough good things about this audiobook! As someone who’s struggled with ADHD, I’ve always felt like my brain was working against me. This book changed the way I see things now. The strategies are super practical, and I loved how it focused on embracing ADHD as a strength, not just something to manage. The tips on building routines, managing relationships, and organizing my space were exactly what I needed. I finally feel hopeful and empowered, and I’m already seeing a difference in my daily life. This book offers some great insights for women with ADHD, especially when it comes to routines, relationships, and organization. I appreciated the practical, easy-to-implement strategies that actually feel doable rather than overwhelming. The author’s personal experience adds a relatable touch, making it feel like advice from a friend rather than a lecture.

This book was down to earth and refreshing. The author was late-diagnosed ADHD and I could feel her experience of having lived the challenges and working out what worked and what didn’t. I don’t have ADHD as such but someone I know told me she’s recently been diagnosed, and I didn’t fully realise before how challenging this might have been for her. I also didn’t realise that ADHD challenges can show up differently for women than for men. Just that alone was worth knowing. The book was also immensely practical, with strategies that feel easy to implement to help you feel in control. It covered a wide range of life-related skills from organising, building routines, handling relationships, finances and more. What I liked most about the book is the approach it takes - to understand and accept self, and to build a life that actually works for and with the way you’re wired - because ADHD simply means that you have a different “operating system.” I found this book empowering and a good reminder that we are all unique, and all of us (even those of us who may not be on the ADHD spectrum) would benefit from working in alignment with ourselves, not with how the world tells us we’re “supposed” to be.

Thriving Through Thought Publications and Amber Hudson have obviously worked hard and done their due diligence to create a title that hits the heart of the frenetic neural behavior associate with ADHD with calming and mindful tactics. You don’t have to “keep swimming upriver against the current” as the author says (not verbatim) and you can find periodic life rafts waiting for you so long as you know where to look. “You can find a few things for a few moments each day to help shut off your brain and recharge”–hearing this sentence narrated (also not verbatim) compassionately by Sarah Decker (great job!) was the moment during this lovely audio title where I really felt a huge wave of inspiration and hopefulness overcome me–one that KNEW I could thrive regardless of any condition so long as I listened to my body and mind and allowed myself frequent respite.
