So book one was really good, book 2 though was even better, the author has really warmed up to the storyline that they were going for and this is just fantastic. I’m loving the way that things are coming together but there is also so much that still has to happen and this means I’m excited for the next one.

Again fantastic narration I think I’m connecting more with the characters due to the top notch narration.

I was so not expecting the big focus on body positivity in this book, and some of the themes and scenes were incredibly moving which you wouldn’t usually get from this genre. The voice actor makes each character memorable, so even though I get names confused a lot when I read, there was no way of getting them muddled up. This was written so incredibly well, I loved it. This is fast becoming one of my new favourite series.

Unexpected side themes of body positivity and really moving and uplifting scenes

I am really enjoying this story, and it just gets better. I really like all the myths that are intertwined within the story, it makes things more interesting.

In this story Pall learns more about secret magic and somethings about herself, and although she's not full on board with this, she quickly learns to overcome and tries to make the most of it.

Harpoc...(swoon) I really like him, the way he is towards Pall, so understanding and helping her overcome her insecurities, he's a great god.

As for the secondary characters, Ora and Nuria are simply great and amusing at times.

And the worst part are the scarabs, aghhh, I agree with Pall, they should not exist...

There are still many secrets yet to be revealed because "secret magic" so frustrating!!! So yeah... I'll be listening to the next book because I want to know more and also because of how this book ended.

The Narration is so good, if I already liked it in the first book it is so much better in this one with the many more characters Sarah has to voice making a wonderful job of it.

I hate Scarabs....

This book has so much going on! There’s a lot of characters in the world but most are secondary and not overly important to remember to maximise the storyline. It’s hours of entertainment. A brilliant performance from Sarah.

Being outside of the target audience didn't spoil my enjoyment of this sometimes delightful fantasy, though I would recommend reading or listening first to book one.

Sarah Kisko is a wonderful voice actor and her input brought to life a story which might otherwise perhaps be just another fantasy romance.

I'm not a fan of the purple patch and the story does contain quite a big one, that said, I imagine the young adult reader will love it.

I really enjoyed listening to book 2 of this series. Pell decides to help Harpoc to find out who is leaking secrets so she goes back to his realm. Harpoc promises not to keep secrets from her but he’s keeping one big secret that almost gets him killed but can she forgive him when she finds out what it is .
