We first got to know Aspen in Empire of Desire. She seemed very cold in that book. First impressions aren't everything! I learned so much more about her in this book. She was very different than she appeared. She had a horrible past that lead her to put up a huge wall around her heart. Loved the electricity between Kingsley & Aspen. So very spicy & hot! MacKenzie Cartwright & Connor Crais did an amazing job narrating.

I loved everything about this book, from Rina Kent’s wonderful writing style to the intriguing characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. This story swept me in, immediately grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time. This book is Kingsley Shaw and Aspen LeBlanc’s story, they made appearances in the other books in the series and they intrigued me so I was looking forward to hear their story. Rina Kent knocks their story out of the park, the dynamics of their relationship are absolutely explosive but so it the chemistry between them. It was great to learn their history, the lies and deception each one faced and the betrayals. I loved the complexity and depth of these two, as individuals and a couple, and with Gwen as well. The writing is perfection, the descriptive details bring you alongside the characters, allowing you to experience everything they do, what they see, think and feel. This fast-paced, brilliantly plotted romantic suspense contains drama, angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions, and a sizzling romance. But it is no ordinary romance, and “enemies with benefits” romance is the best way to describe it because their love/hate relationship is so volatile that you can not simply say “enemies to lovers” it sure was a journey for them, a hot as hell one too. Empire is one of my favorite series, while each book features different lead characters and stands on its own, I highly recommend them all. Rina Kent, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am going to miss these characters and the world you created.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright are fabulously talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona perfectly, sounding believable and just as I pictured the character to sound. Connor Crais continues his role as Kingsley and nails it, alpha-tude and all. Mackenzie Cartwright’s Aspen is perfection, showing all sides of her character. Both are fantastic at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and have you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this already incredible story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

all the books in this series have been great and the way Rina Kent intertwined characters from other books throughout the series has been great. the narrations have been excellent throughout also. I highly recommend these books and others by the author.

Empire of Lust by Rina Kent is an enemies with benefits romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright. This is the fourth book of the Empire series and can be read as a stand-alone.

I love Rina's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story and making me fall in love with the characters. I loved the relationship between Kingsley and Aspen. It was a bit toxic and messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Connor and Mackenzie did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like enemies-to-lovers romances, enemies with benefits romances, second chance romances, or office romances.

Oh yeah, that's an ending of a fantastic series.
All books can be read/listened to as a standalone, but I enjoyed listen to the whole series a lot, so I wouldn't want to miss it.

King's and Aspen's enemies-to-lovers story is a sexy, wild one with full of action.
We also could put all puzzle pieces together and got the whole story about their connection and past.

A book worth of reading/listening to it.

Audio Book 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this couple, I've smiled and cried with them, their chemistry you feel from the previous books you already know something is going on.
king's hatred for her is nothing more than he always loved her and was looking for her

I loved their first date
I love that King calls her a witch
I love that she doesn't bow to the king I love it and I had a lot of laughs in the scene where he meets her at the ball.
This is a book you can't stop reading.
The ending is exciting.
And I love her she has another child with him

"I'm a discerning reader so when I love a couple that's special to me, and this couple captivated me from their young scenes to the end when they get married and have a child"

- Aspen is in my top 5 Heroines Rina kent she won my heart, I was moved by her story, her strength and I love that she doesn't lower her head to anyone, but behind that strength hides the pain of losing a son who later she discovers that it is Gwen and even after finding out she continues to fight for her daughter's love and in the end her having a child with the king is exciting.

I love king's voice, I don't like Aspen's voice very much, but that doesn't mean the actress is wonderful.
It's a personal opinion I don't like the actress's voice, but that didn't stop me from crying with the book, and aspen being my second favorite by Rina KENT
All of Kingsley's Chapters are so much fun he has amazing humor.

I have been looking forward to Kingsley and Aspen’s book since we first met them in Empire of Desire and the fact this is an enemies with benefits book, ticks all the boxes for me! Rina, as always knocked this one out of the park and did not disappoint! With the back and forth banter/arguments and off the charts chemistry between Kingsley and Aspen, you will be consumed and flipping the pages as quick as possible just to find out how their story ends. I for one am sad that this is the end of the series, but hope we might be lucky to catch a glimpse of these characters in any of Rina’s future books.

As for the narration. As always with Rina’s audiobooks this was done superbly and made me love the book that much more!

I actually thought I was going to hate Kingsley from previous ones and tried to avoid this book until I caved and am so glad I did cause he's one of my top 5 favourite there just so cute, funny when gwen walked in on them hahaha couldn't stop laughing

I knew this book would be great, I was so excited to see this had been released on audio. Aspen and King are like chalk and cheese all mixed up in a bowl of hot raging love, lust and fire. They are well-matched and compliment each other. I would definitely recommend this book. You won’t be disappointed.

The narrators did a fabulous job bringing the story to life.

I fell in love with Aspen and Kingsley! Their relationship was explosive and you could actually feel the tension between those two. I absolutely loved how she seeked is help when she had nowhere to go.
