About this listen

Elizabeth Bennet inherits a stunning fortune. Mr. Darcy left Hertfordshire to escape his attraction to her—will her sudden wealth pull them together or drive them further apart?

February of 1812 brings startling news to Longbourn; a distant relation has left Elizabeth an astonishing fortune. She is overwhelmed by a multitude of suitors in pursuit of her wealth but is determined to never marry a man who only loves her money.

Jane Bennet is devastated that Mr. Bingley fled Netherfield and abandoned their budding romance. Will his apologies and renewed attention be enough, or will Colonel Fitzwilliam win Jane’s heart?

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, the master of Pemberley, sought to elude his fascination with Elizabeth but soon discovers that he is hopelessly in love with her, and he despairs when he learns that she despises him.

Elizabeth once found Mr. Darcy to be the most insufferable of gentlemen...could he now be the perfect man for her?

This is a sweet and clean, low-angst Pride and Prejudice variation where all of the Bennet sisters have happy endings.

I’ve read about every variation & this is up there as one of the best. The story is all encompassing of all the sisters, they each have a story too & the hat trick of epilogues ensure we see how everyone’s story unfolds over the years. Once again Mr Frosts narration is perfection. I highly recommend this book

One of the Best

More religion than I'd like but a very well told and beautifully narrated story. All the same characters but very different HEAs.

Interesting variation

I liked the readers voice very much and the way the characters were changed but not spoiled

Cleverness of changing the story whist keeping the endings of most personages the same as the original

Harry Frost does his usual immaculate job of narrating. This variation has some fun and unusual twists. I enjoyed Mary coming into her own.

Fun variation

Really liked that Jane was not a doormat and that they had the power to find real love instead of waiting for a man to fix everything. Loved that we saw more of the sisters characters. Loved the narrator. Will search for more of the writer's work.

Wonderful ❤️❤️❤️❤️

lots going on which I love, not too much emotional too & fro, plus very little angst.
I love the fact there were 3 epilogues & you have pictures of the future years. Narrator Harry Frost is no Stevie Zimmerman but actually I am sooth by his lovely deep voice.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book
