In der Zeit, da er, ganz sein eigener Herr, zufrieden vom Ertrag seines Handels lebte, hatte er drei Nächte hintereinander einen Traum, worin ihm ein ehrwürdiger Greis mit strengem Blick erschien war und einen heftigen Verweis gegeben hatte, weil er die vom Gesetz vorgeschriebene Wallfahrt nach Mekka noch nicht gemacht habe.
