Es kommt, wie es kommen muss: Herr Fiala wird sterbenskrank – doch noch zahlt die Versicherung nicht. Und so fasst Herr Fiala den Plan, mit eisernem Willen durchzuhalten...
Werfels Erzählung erinnert an Franz Kafka, ein wenig auch an Edgar Allan Poe, ist aber dennoch ein unverwechselbarer Werfel!
