What ever happened to Charlotte and the ex boyfriend… That was part of the story line but no ending to what ever came of the situation… strange.

I’m reading these titles out of sequence, because 2 and 3 were part of the Audible Plus Catalogue which were due to expire.

Notwithstanding that, I’m very engrossed in these stories. So much so that, describing the plot is not easy - I couldn’t do so without giving away too many spoilers!

An interesting, intricate and engrossing tale. Great character development with equally annoying and engaging characters. It’s police procedural, but I can’t think of any other author style to compare this to. It makes it all the more compelling.

Now to book 1…

MacKinnon is so bland a character, the story plods on with no real excitement his private life doesn't ignore either

I’m glad these books were included with membership because the narration is awful, very wooden and stilted. The story itself was quite enjoyable but I won’t be continuing with the series as the next book I have to pay for
