Sie war schlecht gegen den armen Hirtenbub, und er wäre schon lange davongelaufen, wenn er sich nicht so sehr vor ihr gefürchtet hätte. Denn sie konnte doch hexen – und wenn jemand hexen kann, so ist das nicht angenehm für die anderen Leute, und man muss sich gar sehr in acht nehmen.
