I loved the plot and execution of this book. The story is captivating.
My only neutral comment is the accent the narrator used. I cant decide if it's Scottish, Irish or Romanian. If you are Scottish, like me, you will know what I mean. I think if you weren't, you wouldn't notice. However, even though the accent is off and a little fluid, it doesn't detract from the book and is easily zoned out.
Downloaded book 2 already.

Great book. Haven't listened nor read the authors' previous books in the same world but I am already curious to do so. Liked the story and characters but the cliffhanger in the end felt like I only read half a book. If this is how the rest of the series is going to be then I really hope it is worth it.

Unfortunately, I had to stop reading and listening to this audiobook. I couldn't listen to the vocal artist, I found her 'accent' so unbearable!

I'm sorry, I'd have appreciated a refund or swap!😭🤷

I still haven't been able to read the book, the 1 star on that is NOT valid, it's purely the Audiobook 🎧 I'm reviewing!😔

I hadn't listened to the sample and just purchased the book but the accent made me cringe and I gave up and read the book after the first chapter...Good book awful accent.
