loved the story as always ,must admit I have preffered listening to the partnership of male and female as in others in the series ,ie dark peril, dark possession, dark slayer etc

I think this has been one of my favourites, I now look forward to the next book and wonder who the next main character will be as there are so many options.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story, I just love all the characters and the story line keeps you on the edge. Well narrated by Jim Frangione (even the voice of the heroine) and really gave depth to the different characters.

The story is about a Carpathian woman (A Carpathian is like a vampire/human/mage combo) who has been held captive and tortured for hundreds of years by a master vampire, and who is rescued by her Carpathian warrior true mate. She has been held in a small cage and treated like a slave with no thoughts of her own, no will and no idea what a Carpathian is. It is up to her true mate to keep her safe and bring her back to who she is meant to be. I won't give any plot away as I know you will want to discover them for yourself! I definitely recommend this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
