About this listen

King Darius (duh-RYE-us) ruled over Babylon. He appointed Daniel and other people to help him govern as advisors. The other advisors were jealous of Daniel so they planned a way to get rid of him. These men knew that Daniel worshipped the God of Israel. They told King Darius to make a new law in which people could only worship and pray to King Darius. If anyone worshipped or prayed to other gods, they would be thrown into a den of hungry lions.

As it happened to Daniel, there will be times in your life when people try to get you to disobey God. You should take encouragement from the story of Daniel and trust God to take care of you. Daniel didn’t know what would happen to him in the lion’s den. He only trusted that God would take care of him and God did.
This is a very powerful and positive message to tell our kids !
