Knubbe heter egentligen Ernesto Fabricio, för han har en pappa som kommer från Italien. Knubbe bor med sin mamma och mormor, men de är nästan alltid på jobbet, så Knubbe är ofta hos Vedman och Frida Gran. Vedman har en stor vedkällare, och Frida har en affär. Det är jätteroligt att vara där. Ibland tänker Knubbe på sin pappa, och hur det går för honom och pizzarestaurangen. Maud Reuterswärd föddes 1920 i Stockholm och avled 1980. Hon arbetade blanda annat som författare och radioproducent. Hon har vunnit ett flertal litterära priser, bland annat Astrid Lindgren-priset.
