Curve into Forever just hit the right spot. I loved it. I am so disappointed in myself that I've waited so long to dive into this series. Who waits until the final book in the series? I will definitely be going back and listening to the other four books in the series. This book is a second chance romance, Kai and Isabelle were college sweethearts who broke up when she left for a month to go to Italy to meet her dad and his family and never came back. Until now. She is back in Canada visiting with her mom, who has just gotten married to the head coach of a baseball team. The same team that Kai plays for. Neither is aware until a family day, and they decide to keep their past relationship under wraps, planning to slowly rebuild their friendship, but it soon turns into more when they realise they are each other's missing piece—each other's person. Their relationship is so sweet and swoony. As a fan of banter, I adored their level of banter and how they grew as people and as a couple. The scene towards the end is what sports books/ movies are made for!

Samantha Brentmoor and David Lee Huynh performed this in dual, and they were fantastic! Their performances are an example as to why dual is a must. They delivered brilliant, nuanced, banter-filled performances that kept me captivated for the entire book. They did a fabulous job with the Canadian and Italian in this book, not making it sound stereotypical or over the top. It sounded authentic to this listener.

Great!

Swoony & fun!

This is a second chance story between Kai and his (ex) college girlfriend, Isabelle. Isabelle broke up with Kai 8 years previously after moving to Italy to reconnect with her birth dad. 8 years later, fate has them reunited after Isabelle’s mum gets married to Kai’s baseball coach, and Isabelle returns to the States to spend some time with her mum and new stepdad. There, she bumps into Kai. The two reconnect and realise that their strong feelings for each other are anything but gone. Can they remain just friends? Especially as Isabelle is due to return to Italy at the end of her trip.

It was soo nice being back in the Vancouver Tridents world. Second chance romance is not usually my fav, but this one was soo good! Kai and Isabelle’s connection and chemistry was amazing to watch. Kai finally got his happily ever after! I definitely enjoyed seeing them reconnect as friends; getting to know each other as they are now, whilst also trying to figure out their romantic feelings for each other. Plus, the family relationship and dynamics was cute and fun to read about; I especially loved Isabelle’s relationship with her mum and the rest of her extended family. 😊

Steamy, but also full of heart, pick up Curve Into Forever if you’re in need of a second-chance, sports romance! It won’t disappoint! 💕

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and David Lee Huynh, they were both brilliant! Brentmoor is always such a joy to listen to. She was wonderful as Isabelle. Whilst new-to-me narrator, Huynh, also performed amazingly as Kai. The perfect duo to carry this story!!
