About this listen

The Netherworld: it is a hellish landscape inhabited only by demons, creatures born from the dark abyss. It is also the only world Salvos knows.

Joining the ranks of newborn demons, Salvos is thrown into the violent, anarchy-ruled landscape of that world. To survive, she will have to learn, she will have to adapt, and she will have to evolve. She will gain experience to reach new Levels of power.

Her curiosity aids her but her pride could be her fall. It is the nature of the Netherworld to avoid or conquer any threats faced. After all, the law of evolution is survival of the fittest, and Salvos is a survivor. And perhaps, eventually, she will leave this world behind for a better place. But is that what she even wants?

Salvos is a monster evolution litRPG series that follows the adventures of a Demon girl. It is set inside a game-like world with classes and levels, but it is not inside the world of a video game.

A very good start to a book series, has me interested at least, and I am definitely picking up the next book aswell.

Great start

Loved it sooo much. Perfect for LitRPG fans like me. Too much stats reading, though, but at least somewhat manageable. Great writing quality and editing too! 12/10 xD

Nice

As with almost any of this style of book slow but steady start. Don't expect anything to deep but good easy listen that evokes a sense of adventure that tappers off a bit towards the end. RPG is light and actually builds in the story well.

VA has a cold maybe? At times they sound bunged up. Overall you really won't notice it.

Update after six books in series. Once you hit the side story format in the series the quality of the overall story goes down. The first few books without side stories are as good as the first one. The character is extremely powerful at this stage but it seems the author is unable to bring through meaningful challenges to progress the character.

The VA issues do not get better. At times you could hear what sounded like two recordings on different mics having been cut together and merged. Other times it sounds like the mic has been moved closer mid recording. Just annoying once you notice it.

Some of the side characters are so uninteresting because they never grow or change. When you have two side characters with the same flaws in the same book it gets tedious to listen to.

That's how I sum up the later books in the series boring, repeating and a slog to get through.

Better than expected

I really much enjoyed this book and hope it has at least 10 more books in the series

This is a great example of the LitRPG genre. Instead of being focused on a human, the main character is a Demon. The story is enjoyable and character driven with some nice world building thrown in.
The narrator is brilliant, each character has their own voice which helps to enhance the story.
Definitely getting the next in the series.

Excellent!

Great story!
Just slightly wish the narrator had a little more variety with the voices, all the male characters sound the exact same, but overall still a great performance!

A very fun listen!

It’s really nice, I loved it so much but it’s not my fav rpg style book.
My thoughts:
1:Salvos is blunt. 2: the humans are short minded (tho that’s nothing new) 3: it’s violent.
4: there is swearing, cursing and it is a bit gory. Not recommended for young kids.
5: the monsters are fun to emagine.
6: Salvos is a bad ass.
7: make more please!
Thank you for your time and now I think about it my review is rather negative, with it is not meant to be. Thank you. :)

The narrator was really good and I couldn’t fault her at all. The story, however, was boring and never hooked me once. Shame.

Just not interesting enough.
