Despite having seen so many reviews stating this book could have “been part of the previous book” I strongly disagree. This story held a perfect amount of overlap between the spellmonger main story and a deeper look into the goings on for Pentandra in her new role as court wizard. Every moment held my attention and captivated My interest as well as provided a deeper insight into another characters interpretations other than our spellmonger. Highly recommend you listen to this before the next book in the series.

I have loved every single book in this series but this one has topped them all!

Wasn’t particularly interested in multiple hour long festivities and book repeats a lot of book 7. It was nevertheless a really good listen and I did enjoy it. Admittedly Tyndal and Randal help end the book on a wonderful high note. Looking forward to the next one.

This volume branches away from the Spell monger and follows one of the other main characters.

The story goes on and our heroes survive to enjoy more gripping adventures. A brilliant series that has me on the edge of my seat. When are they going to start the film series?

I love penny, but did not know if I liked her enough for her own book. However it was an amazing listen and really built up her and other characters arks.

Had to buy this even though I've just purchased the kindle version! highly entertaining and the series just keeps growing, no series is as complete and full as the spellmonger series. If your on the fence, just buy it, perfect mix of story and hints of comedy, with splashes of action!

I have really enjoyed the series so far.....Great characters and storyline combined with the narrator has brought the story to life..... in my opinion!! Am looking forward to the next instalment.
