I have read a few of Lauren Blakeys books and have enjoyed them.
That being said, I failed to get past the first chapter of “Consumed by you” due to the female narrators over exaggerated pronunciation of any word ending in “er” (there was a lot)
I’ll give this one a miss.

The narrators did a great job in relaying the story; and although the characters were interesting, the story itself was shallow.

This is the book for you if you are seeking a (very) romantic novel, as it ticked the boxes for that; however, if you are looking for more substance, particularly with the plot, you might be slightly disappointed.

Nevertheless, a good 'summer' read.

This is one for dog lovers as well as anyone who loves a good romance with the guy shamelessly chasing the girl! It isn't corny in the least, it is a lovely warm story with a very big heart and a very happy ever after but not without ups and downs. Loved it and loved the perfect narration too, can't go wrong with Joe Arden and Erin Mallon.

Cara and Travis have been in love for a while but they were both finding it difficult to trust their feelings. I am glad Travis finally realised what he had been feeling. It took losing Cara for him to acknowledge his true feelings. A lovely story, lots of steamy sex scenes and an engaging plot, the characters really drew in.

There isn't a kind way to say it: It was very boring. It is part of catalogue plus (free for audible subscribers) and still I feel I wasted my time. The story isn't bad but I feel like I have heard it tons of times before. I normally listen at 1,3/1,5x speed anyway but with this book I sped up to 2,15x and still skip several times.
The writing is not bad, it just wasn't for me, or maybe the previous book I read was too good and eclipsed this one. I'm finding that LB is a hit and miss for me, so maybe I am not the right reader to her books.
The narration was outstanding though, loved their voices and that made me actually finish the book. If it wasn't for the narration I would have dnf it for sure.

I normally listen to books by this author & I do enjoy them. I enjoy the make & female narrator's. But sadly the female narrator was a bit annoying. at times.
