About this listen

Something's wild out west....

When a badly burned body is found near the remote Ardnamurchan Lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, it feels like just another day on the job for DCI Jack Logan and his team.

But the victim’s list of enemies, including a diminutive loan shark and a powerful local politician, is far longer than Jack was prepared for.

And don’t even get him started on the magic psychic sex cult.

With political scandal brewing, conspiracy theories running wild, and a team member stuck inside a giant road safety squirrel costume, DCI Logan’s latest case might just be his most bizarre to date.

Come Hell or High Water is the 13th book in the multi-million selling DCI Logan Scottish Crime Fiction series. Packed with action, pathos, and dark humor, the series is perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and Stuart MacBride."

Best audiobooks ever!

I love these books. He can’t write them fast enough for me.

They’re so funny and are narrated so well. I just lose hours listening to them and then they’re over in a few days!

Great characters, great storylines.

Please write more! And the Robert Hoon spin off is great too.

Squirrels, pheasant and 4 skins!

To be honest, it is not the plot that will stay with me in this latest story of the series, but the humour! I terrified my dogs on many an occasion with my sudden outbursts of laughter! Sad it ended but still chuckling. The narration is superb

Humour

Have loved these books ever since I was introduced to them (via a name check in another series), but this was by far the funniest, with so many laugh-out-loud moments, and I am only halfway through. I love the characters and their growth.

They get better and better!

Been a gap between the last book and this (probably because of the Hoon spin off) but I am SO glad to have this treat before Xmas! Superb narration as always!

Brilliant and funny

yet another great book that had me laughing out loud. Absolutely love the authors humour.
My only criticism is that in every book in the series, someone has always 'sucked in their bottom lip and spat it back out'. That description has become highly annoying. Maybe only noticeable if you binge listen the whole series.

I have a mad crush on Logan...who is an imaginary Detective. Oh well lol

Logan at his best

Glad to be listening to Angus King voicing my favourite characters again. With a little teaser of DCI Grimm too! I hope that happens again. Serious storylines but with laugh out loud moments aplenty! Excellent as always❤
