About this listen
She's lost everything, except her life....
Lieutenant Lorraine Page once had everything - a devoted husband, two beautiful daughters and an impressive career with the Homicide Squad. It's impossible to believe that she could be thrown out of the police force and end up on Skid Row.
Without Lorraine, her colleagues struggle on, as the hunt for a nightmare serial killer spirals into an all-out search for a missing witness: a victim who escaped.
But Lorraine Page is about to be brought right back into that world again. Against her will she is drawn into the investigation and forced to face her past and her overwhelming guilt....
Based on a true story, the complete and unabridged Lorraine Page trilogy available for the first time in audio.

Great story, shocking character voices
The narrator’s voice is nice, however she puts on the most awful voices for some characters and they are so much louder it makes it very hard to listen to at times. It’s a shame as it did spoil what was a good book.

Struggled
Being a Brit I have always liked Lynda La Plante's work but I have to say,the chapters were long and I found it really difficult to finish it. Quite disappointed 😞 really. Narration didn't help as her voice was whiney & she struggled with the changes. was hoping for good things but quite disappointed.

Awful grating voice
Oh my! Story okay but the narrator is awful at some character voices. “Rooney” speaks/shouts as if he’s on army parade with someone holding his testicles and “Rosie” squawks like Janice from Friends. Several times I had to turn volume down when these characters were shouting/squawking.

My favourite Lynda book thus far!
I have had the pleasure of listening to lots of Lynda’s books - I think this one is my favourite! I was a bit unsure as it was a lot longer than the Jane Tennison or Jack Warr books - but I loved the richness and detail the extra hours brought. The story is fantastic and the characters richly drawn out. I have downloaded book 2 in the series and can’t wait to listen - absolutely superb! Really recommend.

Poor narration
Having just finished The Govner by Lynda La Plante I was looking forward to listening to this novel unfortunately the poor narration ment that I had to give up after 45 minutes which was unfortunate as the story seemed great

Began well but …
Story got more convoluted as it went on - implausible. Not as good as ja Plant’s other books
