I can't get enough of this series. Each book is so good, it just makes me want the next. This one features Jake or as I know him, Cobra. Taking over the tactical team from Rourke, he is the man who runs the missions. Good at his job, he does not have time for love. Now, the woman he loved, grew up with along with Rourke is in trouble. Quinn is an author, coming up in popularity and has attracted a stalker. She is in need of some protection and who better than the Omega team. Immediately, the chemistry is ignited, but it's not that easy. Not only are feelings involved, but the team needs to find the stalker. A good mystery, JR Tootill creates an amazing web of people, each being a suspect, each making me guess who it is, and then when we find out, it's still not the end. I love this second chance at love, hanging out with the Omega team and the suspense that led to an incredible ending.

Tor Thom and Marie Hawkins narrate this gem, and what a team! Cobra is an alpha personality, protective, a leader, and Thom knows how to bring it out and create a character that is strong, determines and passionate. Hawkins is Quinn, and she wears her heart on her sleeve despite trying to hide it. Her strength is felt through Hawkins nuances and she makes for an incredible woman. Joe Arden cameos as Rourke, keeping continuity and his take on him is spot on. If you are looking for a great narration, this is the one you want.

J.R. Tootill never ceases to amaze with her brilliant mind and ability to create stories that are original with interesting characters and storylines. Characters that are likable and relatable and ones you can not get enough of. She created something very special when she created the Omega Security world and each book is just as amazing as the other, action packed stories that contain a lot of heart. Each book in the series features a different member of the Omega security team, but to get the most of the incredible world building, it is beneficial to enjoy the books in order written. This fifth book is Jake “Cobra” Mitchell and Quinn Scott’s story, a second chance romance that captivates your attention and tugs are your heartstrings the entire time. Jake is one of the newer additions to the ever growing Omega security team, Rourke’s friend since childhood, who served together. Jake and Quinn were childhood sweethearts, before he went and broke her heart, a heartbreak that inspired her to write a novel and give them the ending they should have had. Her novel did well, but she captured the attention of a stalker, and fearing what that stalker may do, she reached out to Omega security for help. They run a protective security detail like only Omega can do, with Jake in the lead because it is her, the one he let get away and the one he still loves and will protect like no other. I loved all the layers to this story and how it all played out, also loved how one thing led to another and how it all pieced together, not giving anything away, but will say the writing, plot and world building is incredible. There is never a dull moment in this book and the story has the perfect balance of drama, angst and betrayal, action, mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Also loved the epilogue and getting a glimpse into the future, hoping more stories are coming from this amazing world, more Omega books and second generation books. J.R Tootill, thank you for another fantastic story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧 Marie Hawkins, Tor Thom and Joe Arden are exceptional voice artists and were fantastic voicing these characters, humanizing them with their personality and emotions. They are naturals in their roles, delivering a perfect portrayal of each and are believable in every role. With Arden as Rourke, Thom as Jake and Hawkins as Quinn, you could not ask for a better cast, and they were just as fabulous performing the roles of all the side and secondary characters, too. These three make a great team, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that keeps you riveted to the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
