About this listen

What if you couldn't remember the last year of your life? And the people closest to you were lying about what really happened?

Gripping, shocking psychological suspense that fans of Liane Moriarty's The Husband's Secret, Clare Mackintosh's I Let You Go and Linda Green's While My Eyes Were Closed will love.

She can't remember the last year. Her husband wants to keep it that way.

When Jo Harding falls down the stairs at home, she wakes up in hospital with partial amnesia - she's lost a whole year of memories. A lot can happen in a year. Was Jo having an affair? Lying to her family? Starting a new life?

She can't remember what she did - or what happened the night she fell.

But she's beginning to realise she might not be as good a wife and mother as she thought.

A good book spoilt by poor sound quality. At times l could barely here it plus shabby chapter editing. A shame because it was well narrated and a gripping plot albeit a bit unfeasible.

Great story, mediocre recording quality

Wow so many twists and turns in this amazing story, keeping you on the edge of your seat right until the end! Perfection. Thank you.

Amazing!!

I enjoyed this book and the concept was clever. However the audible recording was annoying as there were long quiet gaps between chapters to the point I more than once had to check that my device hadn’t turned off.

Good story- long pauses

unfortunately I'd watched the TV series and thought that was excellent. in comparison, the book was slow and didn't really capture my attention. the differences weren't good, in that I thought the differences the series did made it better than what was in the book, the same for the actors and characters. I related to the series more that the book

an OK story

Really enjoyed the story but the narrator trying to speak as a man gets really annoying.

Narration is not for everyone

I really enjoyed the slowly evolving story as we moved between now and 12months ago.

A gripping debut novel

Struggled through to the end of this book because I was interested enough to want to confirm how it ended but it really wasn't worth it. Endless confusing rambling and inconsistent 2D characters. The idea was good and the narration fine hence 2/3 stars but it didn't fulfil potential - totally predictable

Dull

I did enjoy. I usually listen to my Audible, in bed just to get me ready for sleep, unfortunately, one night I laid in bed till 3.30 instead.

Very good
