About this listen

Bill Stevens became destined for a career in the United States Navy after working onboard the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, California. A move from civilian life through the US Navy Recruit Training Command, then a brief stop with a marriage, prepped him to attend the US Navy's Aviation Boatswain Mate School in Lakehurst, NJ.

With orders aboard the USS Forrestal CV-59, several exciting shipmates gave him humor, passion, horror, and intrigue. He could not break free from his relationship with them and their spiritual world while working one of the most dangerous jobs on Earth on the flight deck of the mighty warship.

He became fascinated by what they instructed him to do aboard the ship. He blended the experiences with a lighthearted chuckle aboard the USS Forrestal CV-59 with his four spirited friends.
