About this listen

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Celtic Empire by Clive and Dirk Cussler, read by Scott Brick.

The murder of a team of U.N. scientists while investigating mysterious deaths in El Salvador. A deadly collision in the waterways off Detroit. An attack from tomb raiders on an archeological site along the Nile. Is there a link between these violent events? The answer may lie with the tale of an Egyptian princess forced to flee the armies of her father three thousand years ago.

From the desert sands of Egypt to the rocky isles of Ireland to the deepwater lochs of Scotland, only Dirk Pitt can unravel the secrets of an ancient enigma that could change the very future of mankind.

loved it, Irish and Scots accents not good, but otherwise thoroughly enjoyable, as are all of his books.

loved it

I couldn't get enough of this book, my first Cussler novel, won't be my last. The narration was great, allow, as Scottish preson that has lived in Inverness, I found some of the Scots accents, pronunciations were a little ropey and the author's scale of distance and time not very accurate with regards to travel around Loch Ness. Overall a very exciting listen and I managed it in one sitting, I just didn't want to stop.

This would make a great movie

Worth a listen if you can ignore the lack of believabilty. but that is Cuddler through and through.

Typical Cuddler - Escapism beyond reality.
