What can I say? Maggie Cole is amazing. Each book she writes is original, exciting and has a romance that is unbeatable. I have listened to all that she has released in audio and this one by far is my favorite! Tristiano and Pina. Enough said. Well, I can elaborate! Pina works for Dante, and Tristiano is Dante's brother. Not the ideal situation, but the attraction is undeniable. What should they do? Keep it secret from Dante! But someone else has his eyes on Pina, and with the last name of Abruzzo, it can't be good. Suspense, excitement, spice and a story that had me on the edge the entire time, Cole has a winner with this story. She seamlessly tells her stories synchronizing times and we get to visit scenes from previous books from a different point of view. It's fabulous, and my favorite of all the Mafia Wars books.

To make it even better for me, Kelsey Navarro and Gregory Salinas tell the story and give a fantastic narration. Navarro brings attitude, brains and passion to Pina. She is the perfect fit for this character, with her love shining through the stubbornness she has. Salinas brings the velvet tone for Tristiano, strong, confident and romantic. I love how he can be the strong Mafioso in one scene and the intimate lover in the next. Wonderful, amazing listen!

I am not sure how Maggie Cole does it but yet again, she has come up with a storyline that is so emotional and steamy, you will want to listen to this well written story in one sitting.

In this, the 4th book in the New York, Mafia Wars series, we get to explore another taboo relationship within the Marino family. Pina was initially introduced in Dante's 'Toxic' as his trusted, strong, no nonsense and ultra efficient PA, and Tristano, being the youngest Marino brother, who I wasn't a huge fan of at the start of this series, but in typical Maggie Cole style, she managed to make me fall in love with Tristano right at the start of Carnal.

Pina has observed Tristano from afar for years, recreating what she has seen him act out at the Club, in her own personal life, then unexpectedly during a meeting, they become so attracted to each other, it's like an itch that needs to be scratched but what happens when they overstep the line in order to get what they want or even worse in Pina's eyes, Dante finds out?

I love how Pina knows exactly what she wants and exactly how to get it and once Tristano has had a taste, he becomes just like the rest of the Marino brothers, so possessive of his woman, even though Pina insists on keeping quiet about their relationship. This was a very emotional and intense listen, probably due to the taboo relationship as well as the BDSM elements - they sure do make the most of this in order to both experience their desires and I love how they are both prepared to try something different in order to please the other - it's like a cat and mouse game of dominating and submission.

This storyline not only interlinks along the timeline with the previous books, but is also heart wrenching, full of a powerful forbidden love which is lost then finally recovered. Needless to say, the Abruzzo's are at the centre of causing trouble again, just when you think they can't stoop any lower, well, you will have to listen to this to find out what they do but it does explain some of the circumstances surrounding the ending of Dante's 'Toxic'. I was so not expecting the unbelievable cruel twist towards the end but was delighted with the ending - you will really not regret listening to this well put together book and narration. Kelsey Navarro portrayed Pina so well, capturing her attitude just as I imagined it to be when I read the book. Gregory Salinas' narration was amazing, his slower but smexy smooth voice was just perfect for Tristano - the two narrators combined was sheer perfection.

If you love a family Mafia romance that is dark and forbidden, full of interesting characters who are woven into a well written, page turning series, then you will love Carnal. Although this can be listened to as a standalone, you really should listen to the whole series from the start - you won't be disappointed. I cannot wait for the final book in this series when we get to listen to Luca and Chanel's story, it promises to be another emotional ride.

LOVED THIS BOOK IN THIS GREAT SERIES WHEN I READ IT AND WAS EAGERLY AWAITING THE AUDIO AND I WASNT DISAPPOINTED.
SUCH A HOT HOT COUPLE TRISTANO AND PINA.LOVED THE PUSH AND PULL IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND HOW IT PROGRESSED.
THE NARRATORS WERE SO GOOD BRINGING TO LIFE THIS HOT HOT COUPLE AND I WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND IT XXXX

This has to be the best one of the brothers books yet!! Really enjoyed and took all my willpower not to skip to the end to see what happened!! ( I had to do that for fins book it was pure torture!) all the books are fab from the Ivanovo to the O’Malley’s to the Marino’s!

Carnal by Maggie Cole is a dark friends-to-lovers mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kelsey Navarro and Gregory Salinas. This is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars New York series.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Pina and Tristano. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the final book in the series Flawed to be released on October 15, 2022 so I can get Luca and Chanel's story.

Kelsey and Gregory did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, mafia romances, friends-to-lovers romances, boss's brother romances, or romantic suspense.

i pre-ordered this book and it couldn't come soon enough. Maggie does it again, another great addition to the Mafia wars series! i love the way Maggie weaves previous parts of other books and characters into her latest book, it really gives you that sense of family and somehow makes you feel a part of it, as you know the backgrounds and temperaments of the various family members as you've been through their stories with them. I've thoroughly enjoyed all the Mafia wars books right from the beginning with ruthless stranger. it's a series I'll definitely come back and listen to again, especially as the narrations have all been great too. I'm looking forward to the next book already, although I am sad its going to be the last new york mafia wars, I had hoped we'd get Tully's sons stories (Bridgets brothers) as the family has been in the background for a long time it would have finished off the new york series nicely. keeping my fingers crossed we get more from them I the future.

Amazing. This storyline is non stop action from start to finish. As the different characters storylines collide everything falls into place. I love how Maggie has written this series. A fantastic performance from both narrators.
