About this listen
In every detective's life there are cases that can't be discussed. Now Arthur Bryant has decided to open the files on 11 of these previously unseen investigations.
The first-ever collection of Bryant & May stories not only sheds light on 11 classic cases but also contains everything you need to know about the two octogenarian detectives and the Peculiar Crimes Unit.

One minor criticism of the narration is that young Bryant has an old man's voice.
Usual fare but as short stories

Would you listen to Bryant & May - London's Glory again? Why?
Yes I would but after a while I think I would listen to the whole series again but in enough time to hopefully forget who done it.What did you like best about this story?
What I like about this book is hearing Christopher Fowler's thoughts on the characters and his liking for other authors and why and how he chose these charactersAny additional comments?
I have come to love the people in the PCU of course Bryant and May mostly but love Janice and the others and I don't think Crippin gets enough air time :) I really can't wait until the next book comes available on Audible I love the historic facts about London just wish my memory would store them. So I must listen again and try to remember some of the facts.Tim Goodman is a fantastic narrator how he remembers all the characters and what they sound like I don't know.
Great Listening

For those who know London and especially the London of the 60's, this brings back fond memories as Bryant regales us with historical insights of the old city. The plots are clever and the detectives' logic in solving them ranks them with that of Jane Marple.
Tim Goodman has exactly the right voice for these stories and his diction is superb - he brings it all very clearly to life. This was our first encounter with Bryant & May and now we're hooked!
A Breath of Fresh London Air

I think Christopher Fowler is a brilliant writer. His characters are fully formed, wonderful and maddening in equal parts, including London.
His plots give respectful waves to every variety of mystery tale and always deliver laughter and sadness. Arthur is a grumpy, selfish old git, even as a young man, and I adore him.
They are my favourite book series, in any genre.
This collection of short stories is a bag of gems. It hops about on their timeline and is a marvelous introduction to their world.
This was a reread while I await the second collection, due in a few days. Can't wait!
