About this listen

Tom Keeler was done with Alaska, but Alaska wasn’t done with him.

After four months working a fishing boat he’s on his way to a permanent vacation. All he wants is to get back to that girl in Seattle, but there are men following him, which doesn’t make much sense.

Jane Abrams just got to Alaska and she’s got big problems. Her son has gone missing and the police won’t help. She wants Keeler’s assistance but he’s got other plans.

But, when the people pushing Abrams around step over the line, Keeler gets both interested and curious.

They thought that owning the town gave them special privileges. But they never planned on coming up against Tom Keeler.

It really sounded a lot like Reacher!

Quite a lot of names to remember consequently I got a bit confused even with my favourite reader. All in all I did enjoy the story I forgive the Lee Child resemblance it was a good all round story.

If you love Reacher you will love this!

Easy listening with twists and turns in the plot. Jeff Harding makes even more Reacher like.

Weaker than Book 1

I listened to this having just recommended Book 1 to a colleague. I didn't enjoy this one as much, felt more padded and the plot not as strong. Hope for better from the next one

Jack Reachers cousin!

How these books were ever allowed baffles me! So many similarities to Jack reacher. Well narrated by Jeff Harding. The story is ok,

Could be Reacher

Rather slow at the beginning but picks up as you go. I'll give it 3.5.

Terrible narration

The whole story sounded like it was read by a stilted sleazy detective from a film noir, with all the women characters as a femme fatale. It was a chore to sit through. Just please don’t.

Super narration - okay story

If you like, the first novel is a serious, you will be able to enjoy this too. Story was a bit weaker and a little predictable I feel. What is this? What is this. Fairly okay action in the way of previous novel.

It's Reacher!

How did Jack Lively get away with his Tom Keeler character? it's obviously a straight rip off if Jack Reacher. His manner, the way he speaks, his military career all copycats. The narrator Jeff Harding is the same as reads the Reacher books, even the book is titled Breacher.
Maybe Jack Lively is a pseudonym for Lee Child's.
Still good fun though

Well narrated, somewhat predictable

It is what it is and there are few surprises in this book.
Still Reacher-lite in style but not bad overall
