Sarah Pirohl, ehemalige Polizistin in Rostock, möchte sich auf Bornholm einrichten, als sie der Hilferuf des BKA erreicht. Der achtzehnjährige Stiefsohn eines renommierten Berliner Arztes ist verschwunden. Zuletzt ist er gesehen worden, als er die Fähre von Bornholm nach Sassnitz bestieg, doch auf Rügen scheint er nicht angekommen zu sein. Sarah Pirohl beginnt sich umzuhören. Doch sie findet lediglich heraus, dass Sohn und Stiefvater vor einer Eisdiele in heftigen Streit gerieten. Dann jedoch erfährt sie, dass auf einem Musikfestival ein Junge umgebracht worden ist: ein Freund von Timo, der auch zuvor auf Bornholm gewesen ist.
