The story for me is soooo slow and the characters are weak. Made so much worse by the terribly dead pan reading of this book. This is my humble opinion.
I have listened to the entitle King and Slater series, by Matt Rogers. The first few books of this series was hard work, but got better as again in my opinion, Rogers writing skills developed.
