About this listen

Armon Ellington is 19 year old kid that always felt out of place. He's an orphan, a gamer, and a role playing game geek. When he dies after a 72 hour gaming marathon, instead of going to an afterlife he's transported to a new world governed by rules that are eerily similar to the RPG games he loves. On this new world, Terra, he can be anything he wants, a warrior, mage, or even a crafter. Only, Armon wants more than that, he also wants friends and family.

i really enjoyed this book, nice to find a main character that doesn't end up OP by the end of the 1st book. looking forward to the next installment of this series.

An excellent read (err I guess listen) for those who love rpgs, occasional pop culture references and sci-fi. Well written with an interesting plot and delivery by both author and narrator.

Recommend for someone around the age of 15 as an introduction to RPG style fantasy. More experienced readers of the genre may be put off by the ham fisted exposition dumps in places and using the same word to describe things multiple times in the same sentence, but its okay for people just starting out int the genre.

this is going to make me sound sexist but I am not I also spoke to one of my other friends who reads audio books and he basically said the same thing when lead character is Mill you tend to be able to relate better when the narrator that is chosen is Mill or if the lead character is female the narrator that is chosen is a female I think it may be a psychological thing but I definitely think that it would have been more enjoyable if it had been a male narrator sorry if this offends anybody but this is my opinion I have bought book too and I think it will probably be the same narrator so I will just have to put up with it but I do think it takes some of the enjoyment away

The story was slightly dull and derivitive. At the very outset the character finds out he has died and seems completely unfazed by the revelation like this is just another day at the office for him. I'm not one for endless moping but at least acknowledge dying might give pause for thought?

it seemed to finally get going at the end so I will see if the next book is any better.

wasn't so sure I liked the voice actor as 1st but as I got more in it I started to enjoy listening alot more. the story was very thought out at 1st I wasn't so sure but as well became rather good and now going listen to the 2nd 😁 hopefully only gets better.

the more you listen the more you want to carry on listening it was a really good book, the only thing I would say is it started quite slow but pull though as it gets alot better.
