About this listen
Battle Earth is the first of an epic new science fiction trilogy that tells of humanity's desperate struggle to survive against an overwhelming alien invasion. A distress transmission from Mars research colony warns of an advanced and unknown enemy approaching the heavily populated lunar colony. An elite marine unit commanded by Major Mitch Taylor is dispatched to protect the beleaguered civilians. However, the attack is merely a prelude to a massive invasion of Earth. When the vast enemy mothership smashes through the Earth's atmosphere and deploys in the Atlantic, the armed forces of Earth soon realize they are fighting for the very survival of the human race. As cities fall throughout the world, American and European forces rally together to make a stand as they battle an enemy unlike any they've ever encountered. Battle Earth is a futuristic sci-fi action adventure that chronicles vast bloody battles following humanity's first reach into the stars.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Perhaps a little more depth to the invading alien force, although with this much action, it's a roller coaster of a read.If you’ve listened to books by Nick S. Thomas before, how does this one compare?
I liked the book. My first. It was enjoyable from an author with a great deal of promise.Did the narration match the pace of the story?
The narration certainly matched the pace of the story. I think the narrator did a great job with the characters and the story.Did Battle Earth inspire you to do anything?
I will be getting the next book to see how humanity fares.Any additional comments?

I did find the lack of communication and video a bit jarring for the age that it is set in , but otherwise very good and I look forward to the 2nd audio.
Thomas also does well in picking his narrators, im new to Arangos work and outside feeling a few background fx could of been employed, also very satisfied with his work.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts on this for everyone.
An excellent portrayal of Earth Invasion

Wish I hadn’t though, as the narration was absolutely terrible.
Somehow the narrator managed to turn every character into whining, panicked insolent wimps. The different accents were shocking and stereotypical and the pronunciation left me cringing. It wasn’t just Americanism’s that was the problem - many words got mangled - Bedraggled became bed raggled for example, and don’t get me started on place names.
I have audiobooks of the rest of the series, but based on this performance I may have to give them a miss.
Ok story, shocking narration.
