About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Read by award-winning narrator Jeff Harding.

**NOW A MAJOR PRIME TV SERIES STARRING ALAN RITCHSON**

You do not mess with Jack Reacher.

He is as close to untraceable as a person can get. A loner comfortable in his anonymity and solitude. So when a member of his old Army unit finds a way to contact him, he knows this has to be serious.

You do not mess with the Special Investigators.

In the past the elite team always watched each other's backs. Now one of them has shown up dead in the California desert and six more are missing.

Reacher's old buddies are in big trouble, and he can't let that go.

Although the Jack Reacher novels can be listened to in any order, Bad Luck and Trouble is the 11th in the series.

"The invincible Reacher is as irresistible as ever." (Sunday Telegraph)

‘Jeff Harding’s [...] narration captures Reacher’s character perfectly [...] you have to savour every minute.’ The Sunday Times

Great story if a little predictable.

loved it. Always gripping with excellent voice acting. Maybe though I have watched too many procedural dramas but it's fairly predictable. Still great though and can't wait for the TV series and what they do with it.

There's something about that man.

I have now either read or heard all the Reacher books and oh I wish there were more. With the voice of Jeff Harding - surely the finest voice blending stern threats and machismo on the block - along with the words of Lee Child our creator of Reacher there must be so much more to come. Why? Reacher is both sensitive lover and thug with a heart, 6' 5" of unforgiving justice who carries two fists packed with bone breaking deliverance married with just a scintilla of irony. A caring ex-army major who finds comfort in helping the weak whilst breaking the arm of the town bully. This is why we need more. There's a twisted morality to the character. A flawed hero with neither an address or pretensions.

In this story his old army team highlights the unbreakable loyalty they have to Reacher and each other when one of their number is threatened. I would spoil the reading for you if I went on save to say it is 22 carat Reacher. Listen but don't mess with that man!
