What truly struck me, and why I can heartily recommend it, is its unwavering optimism and insightful take on being human and sometimes making a bit of a mess. It manages to be both deeply personal and universally relatable, offering a perspective that's empathetic without ever condoning

There are lots of great ideas for rephraming your thinking about sobriety.

I’m quite new into my sober life so I’ve listened to a lot of sober lit over the last few months. I thought this book had plus points but it doesn’t know if it’s a memoir or a self-help book. I think the stories were extremely powerful and the impact of alcohol and the power of a sober life are excellent and clear. Could have done without the sections by the doctor as I do not feel they belong here. Narration was far too slow: I had to listen at 1.2x speed!!

Always helpful to have another sober-lit book

I’ve read a lot of sober books but this is a special one. So clear, straightforward and packed full of brilliant tips. Thank you Millie. You have really helped me with this honest master piece. 🥰

A brilliant book if you’re trying to go sober.

Really enjoyed this honest account of Millie’s journey to sobriety. Found the doctor sections really interesting too. My only criticism would be that Millie and Dr Ellie constantly talk of “giving up” alcohol - it’s the wrong terminology and implies you’re missing out on something - it should always be “quitting” alcohol. Minor thing but it always bothers me🤣 I think the language around sobriety is so important. Hasn’t stopped me giving the book a 5 ⭐️ review though♥️

Loved the whole book, I haven’t suffered from the anxiety but that made it more interesting to hear from a different angle. Really well read by both writers as well

Great take on the road to sobriety!
