  • The Golden Knights blanked the Calgary Flames for a second time this season on home ice. This time it was Ilya Samsonov who shut out the Flames 3-0 on 31 shots. Both he and Calgary goalie Dan Vladar were locked into a duel before Brett Howden broke the ice with 4:01 to go in the second period. That became the game winner. Samsonov had to withstand a lengthy penalty kill after back-to-back penalties on VGK. We recap Friday's win over the Sharks and the four-goal third period outburst for the Golden Knights. VGK has now won six straight games. We talk about the UNLV Rebels knocking off D1 Denver, and Derek Engelland is selected into the Southern Nevada Sport Hall of Fame.
