About this listen

Ondry and Liam have settled into a good life, but their trading is still tied up with humans, and humans are always messy. When political changes at the human base lead Ondry to attempt a difficult trade, the pair find themselves entangled in human affairs. Liam wants to help the people he left and the worlds being torn apart. He also wants to serve Ondry with not only the pleasures of the nest but also by bringing human profits.

Ondry has no hope of understanding human psychology in general, he only knows that he will hold onto his palteia with the last breath in his body, and he'd like to keep his status and his wealth too. Unfortunately, new humans bring new conflicts and he is not sure how to protect Liam. He does know one thing that humans seem to constantly forget - that the peaceful Rownt are predators and when their families are threatened, Rownt become deadly killers. Liam is his family, and Ondry will protect him with his last breath...assuming that he can recognize the dangers in time to do so.

Contains mature themes.

I love these 2 MMC. The intricacies of cultural differences between alien and human is fascinating. Great narration.

I really like the storyline and characters. The narrator is good and I like that I can differentiate between characters. I am enjoying the series and look forward to the next book.

Just as great as the first one. I'm having a fantastic time listening this series. And the narrator is brilliant.

I have to say the narrator is perfect for this series and I hope this never changes!

Still fantastic

Liam and Ondry communicate by lots of talking, questioning and answering but more sweetly by gestures and being keenly attentive to the other’s body language, mood, emotion, and silences. Ondry knows that protecting Liam is not just physical but also mental reassurance, emotional security and to my delight, sexual pleasure! LOL! Roll your eyes all you want but for me it is a blessed relief that this Dom delights in his Sub’s ecstasy. Liam becomes the key to Ondry’s improved standing in Rownt culture and it is wonderful to see how a Sub is a catalyst for his Dom’s wellbeing and success. This second installment definitely builds on the charm of the first novel: there is more of the delightful linguistic conundrums, creative world building, Grandmothers, a villain whose villainy is despicable and John Solo’s narration still elevates this story. Rest assured though that ALOHO adds its own freshness, humour, excitement and thought provoking discussions. The Claimings Series is unexpectedly unique, entertaining and gratifying: ALOHO continues the brilliance.

Gratifying!

John Solo somehow manages to make a great story even better. Loved his narration of Lyn Gala's wonderful story and I hope to hear him narrate the next one soon.

improving on perfection?

I loved the continued focus on trade, and how the relationship developed. I loved the fun, alien POV. There were some repetion at times.
