About this listen

Terrified…

Arrietty wakes one morning to find her mother gone. Turning to her father for reassurance, she gets the terrifying sense that he—and others—are hiding a crime too dreadful to name.

Trapped…

Confined to the house on the cliff, Arrietty worries for the safety of her brother as her father becomes increasingly unstable and unpredictable.

Truth…

Arrietty’s hunt for answers plunges her into a nightmarish fight for survival that leads her to the most awful secret of all.

This was a re-enjoyment having previously enjoyed the physical version pre-publication. The narrator did a great job portraying the story. It's a clever plot, was gripped just as much as during first read.

Great Plot & narrator

there is something wrong with the recording of this. there is background noise that sounds like running water, or white noise. match that with a monotone narration and it renders this unable to finish, sadly. I can't pinpoint whether it's this or the story which is the problem. either way I can't finish and will be returning

terrible recording
