I didn’t think I would ever enjoy a sci Fi book but this series captured my imagination. I liked the characters and I wasn’t sure how the story would play out in the end. It is not a classic to be studied in schools but it was very easy listening and well read. I recommend to others who enjoy space wars and characters with strength of character.

I loved all 4 books in these series. Everything was awesome in this story. The only downside is that this story is so good that 4 books aren't enough, and I wish I could listen to more stories around this book series.

Sci Fi of this kind is affirming entertaining. The whole series of 4 books weaves seamlessly together and has all the elements you'd expect. I thoroughly enjoyed the complete series. Wonderful.

This series is a great piece of human jingoism . As a dedicated human supremacist I approve of the content of this series. Humanity is the master race of this universe and our manifest destiny to conquer the stars will not be stopped. As far as a military sci fi goes I would say this series is fairly well thought out to give a level of authenticity. It’s also fairly dark. The cold calculus of war is ever present so expect a lot of our brave human warriors to die but you can expect them to punish the alien scum for their hubris. The action sequences are believable and exciting and I think that the books have a good balance between fleet combat, fighter combat and infantry combat. All of the fun stuff.

My one gripe is the fact that the bigger picture of the story is not explored. But there may be more books to follow which dice into this. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good space war story.

All the reviews are good and that’s positive. I like the scale and the scope of the story- the action is well paced and the characters develop and evolve.
I’ll definitely be buying other audio books from this prolific author and I look forward to hearing stories with similar breadth.
