Strongly recommended, this collection is a little gem of literature that is going straight into
our family treasure.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The best treats, for my children and me, were the three less known stories – The Teapot, Avalon & Glaston and True Story (which
should *so* be called Fake News:) - -in fact, doesn’t the children’s rhyme I’m A Little
Teapot come from this story?!) These stories are told with such spirit of
atmosphere, that we have been listening to them over and over again.

Which character – as performed by Adna Sablyich – was your favourite?

This is the most refreshing adaptation of H.C. Andersen’s timeless classics I could find on the market at the moment. The sound effects and music are exquisite and
add just the right touch of extra storytelling to the wonderful narration.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The Ugly Duckling takes us on the extended journey (often skimmed in the adaptations), the torturous nature of which makes the impact of the transformation in the end, so powerful. The Emperor’s New Clothes, kept intact, but subtly placed in today’s London, adds the perfect flavour of relevance to this timeless wisdom about the relationship between status and merit.
