Private investigator Atticus Priest is employed by a disgruntled ex-husband to dig up dirt on his estranged wife. But when she goes missing after swimming in the River Avon, Atticus uncovers a conspiracy between five lifelong friends that goes back years.

An excellent storyline, involving Atticus Priest.
Yet another thoroughly enjoyable crime storyline, in a continuation of the Atticus Priest series. Superbly performed by Simon Vance, yet again.

Great fiction, Five star
Thoroughly enjoyable detective series. I have read them all and as long as you remember they are a work of fiction, to be enjoyed, the suspension of reality should not deter from the enjoyment of this well written and excellently narrated book. I found I was holding my breath on occasion and am really looking forward to the next in the series.

Not up to the rest of the series but still worth a listen
Story was not as captivating as the rest of the series and characters were not as likeable as in previous books. Still not a bad listen and the ending was better than the beginning, so worth sticking with it.

A great follow on from the earlier books. The support characters are being built up well so that future stories will undoubtedly allow them to develop further.

Great series getting stronger as it goes on.
Love these books as I know the area well. I also like the way disparate threads take sone time to cross over in the books . Looking forward to the next one.

Most Dangerous Game meets the Oregon.

Edge of your seat
Atticus is one hell of an investigator. I've listened to all the books. The next one will be exciting. He definitely kept us gripped. And I loved that it wasn't all about Atticus too. The other characters were great
