About this listen

The stunning new thriller from No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller Stuart MacBride.

One down…
A dark night in the isolated Scottish countryside. Nicholas Wilson, a prominent professor known for his divisive social media rants, leaves the house with his dog, as he does every night. But this time he doesn’t come back…

Two down…
The last thing Inspector Logan McRae wants is to take on such a high-profile case. But when a second man vanishes in similar circumstances, the media turns its merciless gaze on him, and he has no choice.

Who’s next?
Then body parts start arriving in the post. Someone out there is trying to make a point, and they’re making it in blood.

From number one bestseller Stuart MacBride comes a thrilling new novel which will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last.©2019 Stuart MacBride (P)2019 HarperCollins Publishers Limited

have read and listened to this book so many times and still gripping. narration great and Roberta Steel hilarious. I live in North Aberdeenshire so all the local places make it even better. Hope it's not too long before we hear more from Logan. maybe he might be cheerier next time lol

I have enjoyed all the Stuart MacBride Logan MacRae books especially DCI Steele and I hope this isn’t the end of the series. Logan has really developed as a character and his moral compass despite several challenges never in doubt. My only puzzle is why in each book every character seems to bare their teeth . I randomly started counting how often the phrase was used in one book after I started to anticipate it being said and stopped at fourteen times just a random observation!
Steve Worsley does a great job of narrating the characters and adds greatly to the listening pleasure . Fingers crossed the series continues.

Logan MacRae hopefully more to come

really good story once again.
Logan still going strong lots of options and new characters with favourites still there. Roberta was a bit quiet but it made sense with her new role.
