Not a Christmas story
If you want a nice Christmasy story then this is not the book for you.
If you want a romance with an interesting background taking place in Copenhagen in December… then it’s a win .
The narration was better than most for books set in Denmark, but a lot of the names where pronounced more in a Swedish way than Danish ( Madsen for example…. In danish the d is silent)

Loved it!
Karen Swan is a very talented author, she pulls you in little by little until you can’t let go.
Loved the story, with more meat on the bones than most Christmas novels. I’ve now read/listened to several of her books. If you haven’t tried any of her other books they are also worth a shout. Merry Christmas 🎄

Beautifully Researched
A lovely Christmas story as usual by Karen and narrated beautifully by Sofia.
I did struggle a bit with the story as found the “art talk” a bit hard to follow and navigate but Karen researches her books so well it is hard not to enjoy them.

Best Ever!!
I absolutely loved everything about this book. The story, characters and narrator. I never really knew how it was going to end until it did. Can’t wait for Karen Swan’s next book. I’ve read all her books and this was by far her best. Thank you.

An insight into the art world
Quite a complicated story but interesting nevertheless Enjoyed the narrator- got a bit lost with all the historic characters in the back story detail
