About this listen
Eye of newt, toe of frog . . . and murder most foul!
Left with bald patches thanks to the wicked doings of a murderer from a previous investigation, Agatha flees to coastal Wyckhadden to re-grow her lost locks. With hair tonic supplied by a local witch, Agatha's tresses begin to flow - but the witch is found bludgeoned to death.
The odd elderly residents of Agatha's elegantly faded hotel seem innocuous, but as she delves deeper she discovers secrets best left and powerful motives for revenge. Balancing the amorous attentions of police inspector Jimmy Jessop with an ever more treacherous search for the killer, Agatha is at her wits' end - and ready to cast a spell of her own . . .

Great narration and story.
I could listen to Penelope Keith read out the telephone directory - if it still existed !!! Her voice and characters are both lovely and brilliant . Have always been an Agatha Raisin /M C Beaton fan and will be downloading more.

As always, good fun
Would you listen to Agatha Raisin and the Witch of Wyckhadden again? Why?
Yes, mostly because I have already forgotten the story, and love Penelope Keith's acting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Agatha Raisin and the Witch of Wyckhadden?
Eeerm, can't remember
Have you listened to any of Penelope Keith’s other performances? How does this one compare?
She is always reliable good - this was as good as her other performances.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, the story is very lightweight, untaxing, relaxing, and good fun, but not really gripping.
Any additional comments?
A jolly good romp!

New man for Agatha
Since the Agatha Raisin series is not available in German, I started reading them in English. Penepole Keith IS Agatha. I downloaded a lot of the audiobooks and after finishing one, I cant wait to start the next one.
I've been waiting how the Agatha / James / Charles triangle is working out - now there's this new guy!

Couldn't put it down - as usual
Agatha Raisin appeals to the gossipy woman in all of us. Funny and entertaining. Looking forward to the next in the series.

She is a one...
I enjoy the Agatha Raisin books. A lighthearted romp through implausible plot lines, populated by a regular cast of characters who are easily identifiable throughout the series and who display some all too human failings (some highly amusing and some irritating - as in life). All in all, pleasant escapism. I just prefer some storylines to others, hence the rating.

Super
I really love these books and this was no exception.
Light and entertaining with such fabulously written characters that you can't help but to be drawn into their lives. Agatha is such a disaster! Her pithy, barbed comebacks are such a pleasure.
Perfectly embodied by the marvellous Penelope Keith, I can honestly say that I can't wait for my next credit and another Agatha Raisin title.
