About this listen

There may be trouble ahead . . . so will Agatha face the music?

Can the feisty Agatha cut it as a private investigator? She soon learns that running her own detective agency in the Cotswolds is not quite like starring in a Raymond Chandler movie. But then walks in wealthy divorcee Catherine Laggat-Brown, and Agatha is given her first real case. Death threats, blackmail and physical attack soon follow, and once again Agatha is off scouring the countryside for clues and showing friends and enemies alike what Raisin Investigations can do!

Another well recited tale

I've listened to a few Agatha Raisin stories and this is comparable to the rest. Penelope Keith does wonders with the narration.

Keep guessing

Very entertaining right to the end. So well read, a pleasing listen and a well tangled plot.

What a busy story

This book is so full of surprises and both worries and turns, that I listened it a second time straight off, enjoyed it just as much and laughed out loud at some of Agatha's tales. Wait till you come to the last chapter and the early Christmas dinner. That was a real hoot ha ha. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did

Great

Another winner from Agatha and superb performance as usual from Penelope Keith, her style makes it all the better, and does credit to M.C. Beaton👍😊

Odd slip in voice

I’ve left all of these, and Penelope Keith is amazing. So I was really surprised when during the course of this one Bill Wong developed an American accent instead of a west country accent! Apart from that great as usual

Better than other Agatha Raisin titles

I listen to Agatha Raisin stories before I go to sleep because generally the stories are non-existent. This one however had quite a twisty narrative which I really enjoyed
