About this listen
No wonder she's been crowned 'Queen of Cosy Crime' Mail on Sunday
He was a vicar to die for - and he did!
Agatha is going through a man-hating phase and so is unmoved by news of the captivating new curate. But when she meets the golden-haired, blue-eyed Tristan Delon, she is swept off her feet . . . along with every other female in the village. She is positively ecstatic when he invites her to dine with him but the next day Agatha is left with a hangover from hell - and his cold corpse suggests that, once again, she's in the frame for murder!

Agatha Raisin...easy, enjoyable escapism.
Another Cotswold caper starring my friend Agatha, beautifully delivered by the wonderful Penelope Keith.

Murder and mayhem at the duck race
It's amazing how many people can be murdered in a quaint English village. Agatha Raisin, M C Beaton, and Penelope Keith do it again. Sheer genius.

MC Beaton and Penelope Kieth score again
After getting ahold of a few of these audiobooks several years back on cd, I knew I rather liked them. Then I decided to revisit them on audible, from book one, and I’m amazed how much I missed off Agatha’s story, behind the murders!! I have fallen in love with them all over again, on a whole different level. And Penelope Kieth- what a gem she is!!! She brings the stories to life in a way I’ve never heard anyone do to any audiobook and I’ve honestly listened to many hundreds, if not thousands over the years). Together the two are simply perfect.

Good as always.
Agatha Raisin is as always.... good. So is Penelope Keith reading the story. I cannot imagine anyone else doing the dialogue. Agatha reminds me of myself.

Getting better and better!
Every Agatha Raisin book I read is better than the last. I'm reading them in order, due to the backstory of Agatha's love life. This one was very good. I loved the suit of armour scene and the duck races. Highly recommend, can't wait to read the next one, The Haunted House.
Update: I have read all of them now, and re-read this one. It is one of my favourites, just as good as the first one. Read it!

Good Fun
Agatha Raisin is not the finest amateur sleuth and she does find the most inappropriate men but she does have charm. Penelope Keith brings her wonderfully to life and it is easy to get drawn in to the fun as Agatha rushes around looking for clues.
